Terms of use
Come Along Club helps women start and join an event — a one-off gathering for six or twelve people who live near each other and meet in person on a date and time chosen by the host. By using the site you agree to what follows. It is written plainly on purpose.
Who can use Come Along Club
The site is for women aged 18 and over. You must give your real first name and a real suburb, and use a photograph of yourself. One account per person.
We may close an account that misrepresents who someone is, or that is used to harass, mislead or sell to other members.
It is free, and we never handle money
Starting an event and joining an event are free. Come Along Club does not take payments, hold funds, split costs or arrange anything financial between members. If your group shares the cost of a meal, a class or a venue, that is arranged between you, away from this site.
Nobody on Come Along Club should ever ask you for money, bank details or a transfer. If someone does, report her and do not pay. We will act on it.
Hosts choose their members, and that decision is final
A host decides who joins her event. She may accept or decline any request for any reason, and she does not have to explain it. Come Along Club plays no part in that decision and will not overturn it.
A host is responsible for her own group: where it meets, when it meets, what it does, and how she treats the women in it. She is not an employee, agent or representative of Come Along Club.
Identity checks
Hosts and accepted members complete an identity check: a social profile link (a private account is fine), a clear photograph of your face, and the front of your driver's licence. An automated check reads the licence and compares it to your photo, and anything unclear is reviewed by our team.
A check is a reasonable step, not a guarantee about anyone's character. Use your own judgement about the people you meet.
Meeting in person
Everything that happens at an event happens between the people there. Come Along Club does not supervise, insure or attend events, and is not responsible for what takes place at them, for any venue, or for anything anyone brings, serves or organises.
Read the safety page before your first event. Please take it seriously.
What you post
You keep ownership of your words and photographs. By posting them you allow us to show them where they are meant to be shown — a public listing, or the private space of your event.
Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, sexual, misleading, another person's private information, or advertising. Do not copy anything out of an event's private space and share it elsewhere.
Ending it
You may leave an event or delete your account at any time. Write to hello@comealongclub.com and we will delete your account and your personal details.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, and we may take a listing down if it puts other women at risk.
The legal part, briefly
The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Come Along Club is not liable for loss or harm arising from the use of the site, from a group, or from anything that happens at a meet. Nothing here limits rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so on the site. Questions go to hello@comealongclub.com.
