Safety
You are about to sit at a table with women you have not met. Here is what we do about that, and what we ask you to do.
What we do
A considered space. Come Along Club is built around women's safety and comfort. An account that misrepresents who someone is is removed.
Everyone at the table is checked. Hosts and accepted members provide a social profile, a clear photo of their face and the front of a driver's licence. An automated check matches the licence to the photo, and anything unclear goes to our team. A seat is held, not confirmed, until the check passes.
The host chooses. No one is added to an event without the host saying yes, and she never has to explain a no.
No money, ever. We take no payments and hold no funds. There is nothing here to be scammed out of.
Addresses stay private. Public listings show a suburb. The place you meet is only visible inside the event, once you are in it.
What we ask of you
Make the first meet a public one. A café, a gallery, a park, a studio. Leave homes for when you know each other.
Tell someone where you're going. A friend, your partner, your sister — the place, the time and when you expect to be home.
Get yourself there and back. Your own transport, your own way home, so you can leave whenever you want to.
Never send money. Not a deposit, not a booking fee, not a transfer, no matter how it is explained. Nobody on Come Along Club has any reason to ask.
Keep it on the board at first. There is no need to hand over your phone number or address before you have met.
Trust your gut. If something feels off, leave. You do not owe anyone an explanation, and you can tell us afterwards.
Reporting someone
There is a quiet Report link on every event and on every member card inside an event. It takes a reason and a note, it goes straight to our team, and the person you report is never told who reported her.
We read every report. Depending on what we find, we may speak to the host, take a listing down, or remove an account.
Urgent things go to hello@comealongclub.com. If you are in immediate danger, call 000. For sexual, domestic or family violence support in Australia, call 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 732. For crisis support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
If you are hosting
Read the note in your own words, not just the photo. Meet somewhere public for the first one or two. Say what the group is for and what it isn't. And if a woman is making the others uncomfortable, you can remove her — the group is yours to look after.
The hosting guide walks through the first meet step by step.
