Friendship needs a reason to happen

Most people do not lack warmth or interest. They lack a clear invitation. Group chats stay busy and nothing happens. Come Along Club exists to turn that waiting into a real event, in a real place, at a date and time chosen by the host.

What an event is

An event is a one-off gathering for 6 or 12 people who live near each other. One person starts it and chooses the category, activity, suburb, date and time. Other people ask for a seat, and the host chooses who joins.

No money, anywhere

Starting an event is free and joining one is free. The site never takes a cut, never holds money, and never asks you to pool anything. If a group chooses to split a bill at a restaurant, that is between the people at the table and has nothing to do with us.

Why the host chooses

A group of twelve only works if the person hosting it feels good about who is coming. So the host reads every note and decides. That decision is final, and Come Along Club plays no part in it. Everyone who takes a seat passes the same identity check, hosts and members alike.
